ALL CLASSES: OPEN TIRE RULE for 2018
LATE MODELS: Follow AMRA Rules
Please note: Under the 2017 rules, if you ran the a crate engine, you could have up to 8" of engine set back, a 12" spoiler, and a 100lb weight break. For 2018 We have decided not to allow the engine setback and the 12" spoiler instead ALL crates have a choice of ONE of the following: 100lb weight break or tall spoiler or set back on the engine. The reason I am doing this is that probably half of our late models are running similar horsepower and they get no breaks.
MODIFIEDS: Follow AMRA Rules
Please note: The crate all aluminum engine (legal under the 2018 AMRA rules) will NOT be legal . Tires will be open to the following compounds:
Hoosier soft, M100, and M30. American Racer: Soft, TSMA Soft, and Medium. Grooving and siping will be allowed. Right rear tire must be an M100, M30, TSMA Soft, or American Racer Medium. You CANNOT run the Hoosier or American Racer soft on the right rear. NO AIR SHOCKS! 225lb max gas pressure in all shocks
STEEL BLOCKS: Same as Late Model Rules plus: 604 will have weight break AND you must keep the same right
tire all night (or start on the tail of your next event).
SPORT MODS: Follow AMRA Rules, same compounds as Modifieds. Must run the same rear tires all night.
MINI WEDGE: Follow MWRA Rules
FWD 4 CYLINDERS: Same as Ohio Valley Speedway, click here, 2200 lbs minimum.
(We are not longer running FWD 4Cyl in 2018 - Thank You)
POINTS FUND INFO:
Drivers will be required to pay $50 (rather than the $75 you paid to AMRA) towards the point fund. This $50 will cover both I-77 Speedway and Ohio Valley Speedway. (Track registration is separate from the points fund.) All money collected will go into the points fund. Points will be awarded based on the best finish of the weekend between the two tracks. Show-up points will be awarded if you race at both tracks on the same weekend. Additional details will be released soon. We're also looking for additional sponsors and supporters toward this points fund. If there is an interest, we're also open to the idea of doing something like this for the 4-cylinders with a $40 point fund fee, since they've been a great supporter of the Valley since we opened 14 years ago.
